Floyd H. Griffith

Managing Partner

Floyd H. Griffith, the managing partner, has served as a funder, advisor, and connector for new business ventures. Mr. Griffith is an erstwhile review committee member for the Texas Emerging Technology Fund / Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization (RCIC) / Houston Technology Center (HTC), where he helped to identify emerging technologies that were eligible for state funding. Floyd is the former interim president and CEO of Exobox Technologies Corp., a Houston technology startup. A recipient of a baccalaureate in business administration from Florida A&M University and an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University, he completed the executive development program (EDP) at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Born on the island of Barbados with Cuban roots, he remains committed to promoting and facilitating the establishment and expansion of business on the island.•

Majed Al Sorour

Special Advisor

Majed, a globally known adviser, executive, and investor who has excitement and passion for innovation and tech entrepreneurship, is the Special Advisor for LBP Ventures, where he serves in a strategic and facilitative role advising management on strategy and investor engagement.

Yuxin Jin

Venture Scout

Yuxin, who serves as a Venture Scout for LBP Ventures, focuses on discovering exceptional founders and startups. She is a serial entrepreneur and a seasoned professional who is the area developer for a hospitality establishment with over sixteen franchises in the Houston area. She is a second-year MBA student in the Jones Graduate School at Rice University.

Chris Rogers

Consulting CFO

Chris serves as the Consulting CFO for LBP Ventures and for its portfolio companies. He is a partner with Hollis & Rogers LLC, a Houston-based CPA firm. A former Director at Kimbrell & Associates, Director of International Tax at BKD, and a tax professional at both the Bristow Group Inc. and RigNet, he holds both a bachelor’s of accounting and a master’s of accounting from the University of Mississippi.

Richard J. Kampa

Venture Advisor

Richard, a Venture Advisor, provides strategic and operational expertise to LBP Ventures and its portfolio companies. A former Chairman, President, and CEO of US Healthworks Inc., SVP of Operations for HealthSouth, and CEO & Chairman of Exobox Technologies Corp., he is an experienced and veteran senior executive.

Ronald “Ronnie” Hood, Jr

Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR)

Ronnie, a software engineer, serves as the entrepreneur in residence, where he is developing an emerging and frontier technology that is pioneering AI and automation solutions. He holds a bachelor’s of science in molecular biophysics and biochemistry (MB&B)
from Yale University. At Yale, Ronnie was the recipient of the prestigious national Goldwater Scholarship, a scholarship “designed to foster and encourage outstanding students to pursue careers in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics.”
