LBP Ventures is an early-stage fund (Pre-Seed to Series A) investing in disruptive and market-transforming technologies with a preference for emerging and frontier technologies and digital innovations.
Sourcing opportunities with high-growth potential, we provide funding, advice, and oversight, catapulting portfolio companies to their milestones and, ultimately, to the next stage (round or exit).

Floyd H. Griffith
Managing Partner
Floyd H. Griffith, the managing partner, has served as a funder, advisor, and connector for new business ventures. Mr. Griffith is an erstwhile review committee member for the Texas Emerging Technology Fund / Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization (RCIC) / Houston Technology Center (HTC), where he helped to identify emerging technologies that were eligible for state funding. Floyd is the former interim president and CEO of Exobox Technologies Corp., a Houston technology startup. A recipient of a baccalaureate in business administration from Florida A&M University and an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University, he completed the executive development program (EDP) at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Born on the island of Barbados with Cuban roots, he remains committed to promoting and facilitating the establishment and expansion of business on the island.•

Ronald “Ronnie” Hood, Jr
Ronnie, a software engineer, serves as the entrepreneur in residence, where he is developing an emerging and frontier technology that is pioneering AI and automation solutions, a new technology that LBP Ventures plans to fund. He holds a bachelor’s of science in molecular biophysics and biochemistry (MB&B)
from Yale University. At Yale, Ronnie was the recipient of the prestigious national Goldwater Scholarship, a scholarship “designed to foster and encourage outstanding students to pursue careers in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics.”
